THE VELO CLUB exists to sustain the underground.
In a world where music is treasured by all and valued by none, our mission is to help artists do what they do best: think outside the box. Once upon a time you weren't paid $4 for a thousand different people listening to your voice. Times have changed.
We partner with artists, labels, venues and other players in the alternative music scene (mostly shoegaze) to find new ways to sustain. We help push them to think differently, exploring less traveled methods to achieving their goals. The same way all the most iconic and innovative artists did it. The same way all the least remarkable and memorable artists failed to. With your membership to THE VELO CLUB, you allow for us to invest proceeds into the pioneers that shape the sounds all the commercial-level artists eventually incorporate into their own.
Our hope is that this membership gets you out to a show or two. That you make a few new friends, hear a few new bands, and find something you didn’t know otherwise existed. We hope you fall in love with some of the spaces you make these memories in, and that one day, a decade from now, they’re still going strong. We hope that you see the world that we see, and the immense value it holds to us.
